A compatibility service only works if the pool is dense enough that your matches are genuinely well suited AND close enough to actually meet. Spread thin across the country, you get a beautiful score with somebody four states away, which is a pen pal rather than a partner. Sixty miles is roughly an hour's drive: far enough to give real choice, close enough that a second date is easy.

You're welcome to build a Matchprint, but we'd rather you knew the honest answer first: if you're well outside the area, you may see very few matches or none at all. It means a specific, dated check was completed by an independent provider — nothing more and nothing less. An identity badge means an identity document was confirmed on that date. It is not a character reference and it is emphatically not a promise that someone is safe. We will never imply otherwise, because that implication gets people hurt.

No. Every verification is optional and member-controlled. You choose what to verify and who sees it. You can also filter to see only members who've verified particular things — that choice runs both ways.
