RealMatchForMe is designed to help adults identify potentially compatible people through personality, compatibility, lifestyle, relationship, interest, and preference-based information voluntarily supplied by our members.

Privacy is fundamental to that relationship.

People using a compatibility or relationship service may choose to provide information that is personal, private, intimate, sensitive, or highly individual. We recognize the responsibility that comes with receiving this information.

Our policy is straightforward: we do not sell, rent, trade, broker, or license our members’ personal information to data brokers or other businesses for their independent advertising or marketing purposes.

We do not operate as a data broker.

We do not maintain member profiles for the purpose of selling information about our members.

We do not disclose private questionnaire responses to advertisers so that advertisers can independently build profiles about our users.

Personal information collected through RealMatchForMe is intended primarily to provide, operate, secure, improve, and administer the RealMatchForMe service and to generate compatibility and matching results requested by our members.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, why we collect it, how we may use it, when limited disclosure may occur, how it is protected, how long it may be retained, and what choices and privacy rights you have.

By using RealMatchForMe, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Where affirmative consent is legally required for the processing of sensitive personal information, your use of the general website alone will not constitute such consent. Appropriate consent will be requested separately.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected from individuals acting in a personal or household capacity.

Different privacy requirements may apply to employees, independent contractors, job applicants, commercial representatives, or other persons interacting with RealMatchForMe in a business or employment capacity.

RealMatchForMe is intended solely for adults who are at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Persons under eighteen are not authorized to establish an account, create a dating or compatibility profile, complete a RealMatchForMe compatibility questionnaire, communicate with members through the service, or otherwise participate in the matchmaking portions of the service.

We do not knowingly solicit or intentionally collect personal information from children under thirteen years of age.

If we learn that information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law or our age requirements, we will take appropriate steps to delete or restrict that information.

A parent, legal guardian, or other person who believes that a minor has improperly provided information to RealMatchForMe may contact us using the privacy contact information listed below.

Depending upon the features you use, RealMatchForMe may collect information you voluntarily provide when establishing or maintaining an account, completing a compatibility questionnaire, creating a profile, communicating with us, purchasing a future paid service, or interacting with other members.

This information may include your name, username, email address, telephone number, age or date of birth, general geographic area, gender or gender identity where voluntarily provided, relationship preferences, relationship status, relationship goals, photographs, profile descriptions, occupation or general professional information, educational background, interests, hobbies, entertainment preferences, travel preferences, recreational activities, family preferences, views concerning marriage or children, communication preferences, and other profile information.

Our compatibility questionnaires may ask about personality characteristics, social preferences, values, habits, attitudes, interests, lifestyle choices, relationship expectations, personal priorities, compatibility factors, family goals, philosophical views, religious or spiritual preferences, political or civic viewpoints, physical activity, dining and entertainment preferences, and similar personal characteristics.

Some questions may be optional.

Users should provide only information that they are comfortable providing for compatibility and matchmaking purposes.

Certain information may receive heightened protection under federal or state privacy laws.

Depending upon the information voluntarily supplied by a user, this may include information revealing or concerning religious beliefs, racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, sex life, gender identity, health-related information, precise geolocation, citizenship or immigration information, biometric information, or other information legally classified as sensitive personal data.

RealMatchForMe will endeavor to collect sensitive information only when it is reasonably related to a feature or compatibility service requested by the user.

Where required by law, we will obtain appropriate consent before processing legally defined sensitive personal information.

A member may decline to answer an optional sensitive question.

We will not sell sensitive personal information.

We will not use sensitive questionnaire information for discriminatory employment, housing, lending, insurance, credit, healthcare eligibility, or similar legally significant decisions.

We will not provide advertisers with private sensitive questionnaire responses for the advertiser’s independent profiling, behavioral advertising, or marketing purposes.

A user may withdraw consent to certain sensitive-data processing where applicable by using available account controls or contacting RealMatchForMe.

Withdrawal may affect our ability to provide a feature that necessarily depends upon the information the user asks us to remove.

RealMatchForMe may use questionnaire answers and other information provided by users to develop compatibility indicators, matching characteristics, preference categories, personality-related observations, recommendations, rankings, or compatibility scores.

These results are intended solely as informational matchmaking tools.

RealMatchForMe’s questionnaire is a compatibility and personality-oriented service and is not intended to constitute a medical, psychiatric, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, or clinical examination or diagnosis.

Compatibility scores and recommendations are estimates based upon information provided by members, algorithms, matching criteria, and other factors. They should not be interpreted as guarantees regarding a person’s character, intentions, conduct, compatibility, safety, mental health, suitability, or the future success of any relationship.

RealMatchForMe does not guarantee that a person will be compatible with another person merely because an algorithm or questionnaire produces a particular result.

When you use RealMatchForMe, certain technical information may be automatically generated.

This may include Internet Protocol address, browser type, operating system, device information, login dates and times, pages viewed, features used, referring pages, approximate location derived from an IP address, security events, error information, and similar technical data necessary to operate and protect an online service.

We may use cookies or comparable technologies that are reasonably necessary for account authentication, website preferences, security, fraud prevention, session management, and essential functionality.

Where optional analytics or similar technologies require consent under applicable law, appropriate choices will be provided.

RealMatchForMe does not intend to use hidden cross-site advertising trackers to secretly create advertising profiles from members’ sensitive compatibility information.

RealMatchForMe will not require continuous precise GPS tracking merely for ordinary website access.

If a future feature uses precise location information, the reason for requesting that information will be explained when the feature is activated, and consent will be obtained when required by law.

Users should use good judgment before publishing their home address, work location, current real-time location, or other information that could expose them to unnecessary personal-security risks.

Certain information is provided specifically so that it can be presented to potential matches or other authorized members.

Information designated by the user as part of a visible profile may therefore be displayed to other users in accordance with the service’s privacy and profile controls.

Private questionnaire responses should not automatically be considered publicly visible merely because they are used internally to generate a compatibility result.

RealMatchForMe may display a compatibility characteristic, score, category, shared interest, or other matching result without necessarily displaying the underlying private answer that produced that result.

Users should understand that information intentionally disclosed to another member may be copied, photographed, screenshot, forwarded, remembered, or otherwise retained by that recipient. RealMatchForMe cannot guarantee or control what another individual does with information that a user intentionally communicates to that individual.

RealMatchForMe may provide messaging or other communication functionality between members.

We do not consider a communication “public” merely because it was transmitted through our platform.

However, communications may be processed, preserved, or reviewed when reasonably necessary to operate the messaging service, investigate fraud, threats, harassment, abuse, impersonation, suspected criminal conduct, safety complaints, Terms of Service violations, or technical problems; to respond to a user complaint; or to comply with legal obligations.

Users should never assume that another person receiving a message will keep that message confidential.

RealMatchForMe may use personal information to establish and administer user accounts; authenticate users; provide questionnaires and compatibility features; calculate and present compatibility results; recommend potential matches; allow users to communicate; provide customer service; personalize requested features; maintain account preferences; process future purchases or subscriptions; secure accounts; detect fraud or abuse; investigate safety complaints; prevent unauthorized access; enforce our Terms of Service; maintain and improve website performance; troubleshoot technical problems; conduct internal analytics; comply with legal requirements; respond to lawful legal process; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and maintain the integrity of RealMatchForMe.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand general service performance and improve the RealMatchForMe platform, provided that such information is handled in accordance with applicable law.

RealMatchForMe may use algorithms, artificial intelligence, statistical methods, rules-based systems, or other automated technologies to assist with compatibility analysis, recommendations, personalization, fraud prevention, and service administration.

Automated matching may generate inferences concerning compatibility based upon information users provide.

RealMatchForMe does not use its dating compatibility system to make decisions concerning employment, housing, credit, lending, insurance eligibility, access to essential government services, or other decisions intended to produce comparable legal or similarly significant effects.

We will not knowingly provide private member questionnaire data to an unrelated third-party general-purpose artificial intelligence company for the purpose of allowing that company to independently train its general-purpose commercial AI models on identifiable RealMatchForMe member profiles.

Any technology provider processing information on our behalf must be subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality, security, and data-use restrictions where required by law.

RealMatchForMe does not sell personal information to data brokers.

We do not rent member lists.

We do not sell individual personality profiles.

We do not sell compatibility questionnaire responses.

We do not sell sensitive personal information.

We do not provide private profile information to advertisers in exchange for money so that advertisers may independently market products or services based upon intimate characteristics of our members.

Where the terms “sell,” “sale,” “share,” or “sharing” have particular meanings under applicable state privacy laws, RealMatchForMe intends to comply with those definitions and any associated consumer rights.

If RealMatchForMe materially changes these practices in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice, consent mechanism, or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law before engaging in the changed practice.

RealMatchForMe may display advertising or sponsorships as part of its business model.

The presence of an advertisement does not mean that the advertiser receives your private questionnaire answers, private messages, sensitive profile information, or personally identifiable compatibility history.

RealMatchForMe may use contextual advertising based upon the general content of the website or other non-personal contextual factors.

We do not provide advertisers with sensitive personal information so that they can independently target a member based upon intimate questionnaire responses.

If RealMatchForMe later introduces advertising practices that constitute targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, a sale, or sharing under applicable privacy law, we will implement any legally required notices and consumer opt-out mechanisms.

RealMatchForMe may use carefully selected companies to perform limited services necessary to operate our platform.

These may include website hosting, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, database administration, email transmission, customer support technology, payment processing, fraud prevention, identity or age verification, and other necessary technical services.

These companies are service providers or processors acting on behalf of RealMatchForMe. They are not authorized by us to take RealMatchForMe member information and independently sell, broker, or market that information for their own purposes.

We will seek to provide service providers only the information reasonably necessary for the function they are performing and to impose contractual privacy, confidentiality, security, and data-use obligations appropriate to the nature of the information involved.

Use of an operational service provider is not the same as selling member information to a data broker.

If RealMatchForMe introduces paid memberships, subscriptions, upgrades, or other paid services, payment transactions may be handled through a specialized payment processing provider.

Our goal is to avoid storing full payment-card numbers, card security codes, or similarly sensitive payment credentials within the ordinary RealMatchForMe member-profile database.

A payment processor may receive cardholder information directly in order to authorize and complete a transaction.

RealMatchForMe may receive limited transaction information such as payment status, transaction identifier, billing name, billing address where required, payment method type, expiration information where appropriate, and limited or tokenized card information.

Payment information will be processed only for legitimate payment, accounting, fraud-prevention, chargeback, customer-service, legal, and business-record purposes.

RealMatchForMe does not sell credit card information.

RealMatchForMe does not currently intend to collect fingerprints, retina scans, iris scans, voiceprints, or scans of hand or face geometry as part of its standard personality or compatibility questionnaire.

A photograph uploaded to a profile will not, merely because it is a photograph, be treated by RealMatchForMe as biometric authentication information unless it is subjected to technology that legally constitutes collection or generation of biometric information.

If RealMatchForMe later introduces identity verification, facial recognition, voice authentication, or another feature involving legally regulated biometric identifiers or biometric information, we will implement any separately required biometric privacy notice, written consent or release process, retention schedule, destruction policy, disclosure restrictions, and other safeguards before collecting such information.

For Illinois residents, RealMatchForMe intends to comply with the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act where applicable.

RealMatchForMe will not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometric identifiers or biometric information where prohibited by applicable law.

RealMatchForMe is not a healthcare provider and its ordinary matchmaking service is not intended to create medical records.

Members should not provide medical diagnoses, detailed medical records, genetic information, therapy records, prescription information, or other health information unless a RealMatchForMe feature specifically and lawfully requests such information and explains why it is needed.

If RealMatchForMe later introduces features that intentionally collect “consumer health data” under state consumer-health privacy statutes, additional notices, consents, and privacy policies may be provided where required by law.

Although RealMatchForMe does not sell member information, there are limited circumstances in which disclosure may be permitted or legally required.

We may disclose information when we reasonably and in good faith believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a valid subpoena, warrant, court order, law, regulation, governmental request, or other legally enforceable process.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of RealMatchForMe, its members, employees, service providers, or another person; investigate suspected fraud, stalking, harassment, exploitation, threats, violence, impersonation, cybercrime, or other unlawful activity; prevent or address an emergency involving a credible risk of serious physical harm; enforce our Terms of Service; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We may challenge or narrow a governmental request when we reasonably believe that doing so is appropriate and legally permissible.

If RealMatchForMe undergoes a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, reorganization, or sale of substantially all of the business or assets associated with the service, information may be transferred as part of that transaction to the extent permitted by law.

Personal information will not be marketed as an independent data-broker asset merely because ownership of the business changes.

Where legally required, affected users will receive notice of a material change in the identity of the entity controlling their personal information or a material change in the purposes for which information will be processed.

Any successor will remain subject to applicable privacy laws and any commitments that continue to be legally enforceable.

RealMatchForMe seeks to collect information that is reasonably related to operating and improving the service requested by our members.

The mere fact that information could theoretically be useful does not mean that RealMatchForMe should collect it.

Particularly sensitive information should be collected only when there is a legitimate service, safety, security, legal, or operational reason for doing so.

RealMatchForMe will retain personal information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which the information was collected, as needed to maintain an active account, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

Retention periods may differ depending upon the type of information, sensitivity of the information, reason for collection, legal requirements, fraud and safety considerations, accounting requirements, dispute resolution, litigation holds, and technical backup cycles.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, securely destroy, anonymize, aggregate, or de-identify it, subject to applicable law.

If a member requests account deletion, RealMatchForMe will take reasonable steps to remove the account from active matchmaking and process associated personal information for deletion, subject to legally permitted exceptions.

Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or repeated Terms of Service violations, maintain security records, comply with financial or tax requirements, establish or defend legal claims, honor another user’s legitimate records, comply with a legal preservation obligation, or otherwise comply with law.

Information stored temporarily in backup systems may remain until overwritten or deleted through ordinary secure backup-management processes.

RealMatchForMe recognizes that relationship, personality, lifestyle, and compatibility information requires meaningful safeguards.

We intend to maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the personal information we process.

Safeguards may include access controls, least-privilege principles, password protection, authentication controls, encryption where appropriate, secure communications protocols, logging, monitoring, security updates, employee or contractor confidentiality requirements, vendor-security requirements, incident-response procedures, data minimization, and secure disposal practices.

Access to sensitive member information should be restricted to personnel and service providers with a legitimate need for access.

No website, network, database, or electronic communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. RealMatchForMe therefore cannot promise that unauthorized access, hacking, malware, human error, technical failure, or another security incident will never occur.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their passwords and account credentials and should promptly notify RealMatchForMe if they believe their account has been compromised.

If RealMatchForMe discovers a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate and respond in a manner appropriate to the nature and circumstances of the incident.

Where notification is required by applicable federal or state law, RealMatchForMe will provide legally required notifications to affected individuals, regulators, government agencies, or other appropriate parties within the time and manner required by applicable law.

Depending upon your state of residence and the applicability of particular privacy statutes, you may have rights concerning your personal information.

RealMatchForMe intends to provide members with meaningful privacy controls regardless of state of residence where reasonably feasible.

These rights may include the ability to request confirmation that we process your personal information; obtain access to personal information associated with you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of information; obtain a portable copy of qualifying information; withdraw consent to certain processing; obtain information about categories of personal information collected; obtain information concerning categories of recipients; opt out of qualifying sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain legally defined profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where required; and appeal certain privacy-request decisions where applicable law provides an appeal right.

RealMatchForMe will not unlawfully discriminate against a consumer for exercising a privacy right.

For security, RealMatchForMe may need to verify your identity before providing, modifying, or deleting personal information.

Verification information will be used for the purpose of processing and securing the request and should not be used for unrelated marketing purposes.

Authorized agents may submit requests where authorized by applicable law, subject to appropriate verification of their authority.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Where a state law gives a consumer the right to appeal a denied privacy request, instructions for submitting an appeal will be provided with the response when legally required.

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, when that law applies to RealMatchForMe.

Those rights may include the right to know what personal information has been collected, access specific personal information, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information.

RealMatchForMe does not presently intend to sell or share member personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

We will not discriminate against a California consumer for exercising applicable CCPA rights.

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other jurisdictions with applicable comprehensive privacy requirements may have additional rights under their respective state laws.

Rather than require members to understand every jurisdictional distinction, RealMatchForMe intends, where reasonably practicable, to maintain a broadly consistent process for access, correction, deletion, portability, consent withdrawal, and applicable opt-out requests.

Where a particular state’s law provides greater protection than this general Privacy Policy, RealMatchForMe will comply with the applicable legal requirement to the extent the law applies to us.

Certain state laws recognize browser-based universal opt-out preference signals, including qualifying Global Privacy Control signals.

Where RealMatchForMe is legally required to recognize a qualifying universal opt-out signal, we will endeavor to process that signal as required by applicable law.

Because RealMatchForMe does not presently sell member personal information or use it for qualifying cross-context behavioral advertising, an opt-out signal may not materially change our current data practices.

Account deletion generally terminates the active member profile and removes the individual from ordinary matching functions.

Account deletion does not necessarily require immediate destruction of every record where retention remains legally permitted or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, payment records, chargebacks, legal claims, law-enforcement preservation requests, safety investigations, or other lawful purposes.

Information independently retained by another member, such as a message or screenshot that the member lawfully received, may remain outside RealMatchForMe’s control.

Members are encouraged to maintain accurate profile information.

Where account controls permit, users may edit information directly.

Compatibility results may change when underlying profile or questionnaire information changes.

RealMatchForMe may create statistical, aggregated, or de-identified information concerning how the platform is used.

Where information is maintained as legally recognized de-identified information, we will take reasonable measures appropriate under applicable law to maintain the information in de-identified form and not attempt to re-identify it except when permitted by law, including where necessary to evaluate whether de-identification methods are effective.

Aggregated information may be used to improve compatibility methodology, understand general user preferences, enhance security, improve website functionality, and evaluate the overall operation of RealMatchForMe.

RealMatchForMe may contain links to websites or services operated by parties that we do not control.

A link does not necessarily mean that RealMatchForMe endorses the privacy or security practices of the destination website.

Once a user leaves RealMatchForMe, information supplied directly to another website is governed by that website’s privacy practices.

Users should review third-party privacy policies before providing personal information.

RealMatchForMe may send communications necessary to administer an account, verify identity, provide security alerts, confirm transactions, provide requested matching activity, respond to customer-service inquiries, or communicate material changes to the service.

Where legally required, promotional email or text-message communications will include appropriate consent and opt-out mechanisms.

Unsubscribing from promotional communications may not prevent essential administrative, security, payment, or legal communications relating to an active account.

RealMatchForMe may maintain information relating to reports of scams, fraud, impersonation, threats, harassment, stalking, abusive behavior, unauthorized account access, or other serious violations when reasonably necessary to protect our members and service.

Privacy rights should not be interpreted to require RealMatchForMe to knowingly delete information when retention is lawfully necessary to prevent continuing fraud, protect users, investigate serious misconduct, or defend against legal claims.

RealMatchForMe may update this Privacy Policy as technology, services, business practices, or applicable laws change.

The “Last Updated” date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy will identify the most recent revision.

If a change materially affects the manner in which previously collected personal information will be used, RealMatchForMe will provide additional notice or request consent when required by applicable law.

Continued use of the service following an ordinary policy update will be governed by the updated Privacy Policy to the extent permitted by law.

A policy update will not retroactively eliminate statutory privacy rights that cannot legally be waived.

This Privacy Policy is intended to be interpreted consistently with applicable United States federal and state privacy, consumer-protection, data-security, and breach-notification laws.

Because privacy laws differ by jurisdiction and continue to evolve, a particular statutory right or obligation applies only to the extent that the relevant statute legally applies to RealMatchForMe and the individual or information concerned.

RealMatchForMe is built upon the principle that compatibility should not require surrendering control over one’s private life.

Information supplied for the purpose of finding a compatible person should be used for that purpose—not quietly transformed into a commodity for sale to data brokers.

Accordingly, RealMatchForMe’s guiding principles are to collect responsibly, explain our practices clearly, minimize unnecessary data, protect sensitive information, restrict access, respect user choices, avoid the sale of personal information, provide meaningful privacy rights, and use information primarily to deliver the service our members requested.

Personal information provided to RealMatchForMe will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law, with the objective of using information responsibly, securely, transparently, and primarily for the purpose for which our members entrusted it to us.
